Cool Gadgets That Save Energy

There are several cool gadgets that are designed to help you save energy at home or at work. One of these is called The Energy Detective (TED). This device helps you find out how much energy you are using in real-time, where you are using it, and gives you tips on how to cut back and save the most money.

TED is the market leader in electricity monitors for good reason, but cause studies have shown that by viewing in-home, real-time electricity data the average household will cut 8-15% off their monthly bill. Another gadget along the same lines is called the Energy Orb. This handy gadget receives and displays real-time data on the price you are being charged for electricity, so you know when you should look around to see what you can unplug or turn off. The Orb changes colors as prices change, from glowing green to yellow to red, so it also makes a cool home accent piece.
