2003 年刚过去不久的6月Virgin Black推出了第二张专辑Elegant and Dying，这张专辑中Rowan London更是呈现出他刚学成不久的笛子功力。而新专辑虽然没有如Sombre Romantic般把doom，black，industrial，classics等元素和莎士比亚式的悲情色彩糅合进goth metal中，但是却体现更多的gothic情绪，长达20分钟的长篇巨着The Everlasting中呈现他们深不见底的音乐造诣。Virgin Black是一支值得关注的goth metal乐队，并不与如今泛滥着的渣滓同流合污。
