Google Gears 是 Google 打造的，连接在线应用与本地操作系统的桥梁，现在，Google Gears 将可用于手机平台了。根据官方 Blog 的描述，Google Gears 将会通过他们自己的开放式手机平台 Android 来实现。目前包括 Zoho 在内，已经有一些第三方服务商采用了 Google Gears，而 Google 本身的在线服务也有不少已经提供基于 Google Gears 的离线应用。
