AbiWord 2.6.0 今天发布了，这是一款跨平台、小巧的文字处理软件，如果你觉得 OpenOffice.org 还是太大了，或者仅需要文字处理应用，AbiWord 将是不错的选择。继上一个版本 2.5.2 之后，算是花了很长时间才进行的更新，主要更新包括：
- GNOME office plugin that allows you to embed Gnumeric charts in documents
- Ability to open files on remote shares using samba, ftp, or ssh shares
- Improved language support
- Experimental collaboration plugin
- Experimental new Office Open XMl import filter
- Native Windows vista menus
- Drag and drop images in and out of Unix version of AbiWord
Windows 和 Linux 版本已经更新，而 Mac OS X 还是 2.4.6 版本。
